As a Protocol Specialist, you will:
- Serve for the Secretary and the Deputy Secretary; work with Embassy employees in setting up meetings and conferences in the United States and abroad; preparing for and assisting with high-level official international visits, preparing official government-to-government signing ceremonies, and executing official gift presentations to foreign dignitaries and officials.
- Maintain foreign visitor database for the Office of the Secretary which requires close coordination with Embassy officials and the Secretary's scheduler and/or the Director. Prepare all foreign national clearance memoranda for the Secretary and the Deputy Secretary's meetings in Washington, coordinating with Departmental Security Headquarters.
- Provide advance support for the Secretary and Deputy Secretary's international trips and those events in the United States which have international components.
- Works special projects and special events hosted by the Office of the Secretary; provides additional support for and counsel to the Office of the Secretary in the matter of official gifts.
