This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1180000 in SPMD 2250 and is part of the MO HHD 205th Military Police Battalion.
WHO MAY APPLY: All qualified Missouri traditional guard members and those eligible for enlistment, appointment or transfer into the Missouri Army National Guard.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is an Indefinite Excepted Service position. Employment can be terminated with a 30 day notice. Management has the right to convert this position to permanent status without re-advertising. In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the indefinite appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status. Under an indefinite appointment, the employment is subject to a 30 day termination notice. This is a non-bargaining unit position.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Formulates, oversees and evaluates the overall training programs for the command. Develops yearly and longer training plans. Establishes and conducts a training evaluation program for subordinate units. Determines and formulates needed revisions or improvements to training activities. Reviews training plans and schedules of subordinate units for approval and revision as necessary. Schedules and ensures the execution of special training courses. Prepares and submits annual budget requirements to higher headquarters based on yearly training guidance and training calendars. Prepares plans and reports pertaining to readiness and mobilization. Provides guidance and assistance to units in preparation of readiness reports. Directs scheduling and coordination for the use of training sites and facilities. Plans, organizes and assigns work to employees engaged in training and readiness at the command level. Revises assignments or details employees to other duties as necessary to meet changing work situations, deadlines, or priorities. Participates in the selection of subordinates from lists of eligibles. Establishes performance standards and evaluates employee performance. Performs other duties as assigned.
