As a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
-Implementing higher-level security requirements such as those resulting from laws, regulations, or Presidential directive.
-Integrating security programs across disciplines, defines the scope and level of detail for security plans and policies; applicable to the security program.
-Assessing new systems design methodologies to improve software quality; leading implementation activities; instituting measures to ensure awareness and compliance.
-Reviewing and evaluating security incident response policies; developing long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities.
-Reviewing proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks.
-Resolving integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure.
-Establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff members;developing work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
