    This is a Pathways Student Intern Program position and is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school. Veteran's Preference will be applied in filling positions under the Pathways Programs.

    Interns hired through this announcement are eligible to convert into positions up to the full performance level of GS-12.

    Responsibilities

    Major duties in this Student Trainee position include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist higher level personnel on various assignments.
    • Generate basic program source codes utilizing various computer languages;
    • Collect data from a variety of available reference sources and prepare reports to present patterns and trends in data collection and reporting requirements; and
    • Work with others in the review of overall automated processes and procedures.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Overnight travel of 1-5 nights per month may be required.
