    This National Guard position is for a Artillery Repairer, Position Description Number D1230000 and is part of the NJ CSMS 1, National Guard.

    NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

    Responsibilities

    As a Artillery Repairer, WG-6605-9, you will:

    • Employ applicable test, measuring, and diagnostic equipment in conjunction with technical publications and prior knowledge to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions.
    • Operate various component parts to determine serviceability and to localize malfunctions to determine extent of corrective adjustments and repair procedures required.
    • Remove and disassemble weapon assemblies for repair, replacement, or overhaul.
    • Replace unserviceable or non-repairable parts.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
