About the Position:
This position is located in the Contracting Office supporting Sierra Army Depot. With the exception of Fire & Police, employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon - Thurs, 0630 - 1700 hrs. Sierra Army Depot is located in the rural northeast California town of Herlong, approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. The depot has an Army Command Officer with a predominately civilian work force of approximately 1150 employees. Child care facilities are available. Exchange/Commissary facilities are NOT available. Carpools and mass transportation is available from Reno/Susanville at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts world class fishing, hunting, snow skiing and a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities.

Serves as a Procurement Support Specialist in support of the ACC-WRN SIAD and ACC-WRN Reach-back team staff. Assists with the overall planning, analysis and execution of business and administrative processes impacting the Depot and the Reach-back team. Procures materials, supplies, services, commercial items and equipment as necessary. Prepares modifications and change orders to Division purchase orders and contracts. Maintains comprehensive databases. Generates weekly and monthly reports and prepares reports submitted to higher authority. Serves as the contracting office representative in all matters pertaining to the Commander's Qualified Recycling Program. Develops plans and procedures for the sale of depot scrap materials. Develops and creates public postings- offering for sale scrap materials from the recycling program.
