Serves as labor counselor and employment law attorney. Represents the command as a litigation attorney for civilian personnel, labor relations, and equal employment opportunity litigation cases. As a civil, administrative, and installation law expert, provides advisory and representational support services. Incumbent exercises a high level of responsibility over Fort Belvoir's ethics program and ethics training. Provides review and legal responses to Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act requests.

The incumbent in this position serves as a civil and administrative law expert for U.S. Army, Fort Belvoir Garrison. The incumbent handles a wide variety of legal issues across the complete range of administrative, labor, fiscal, ethics, installation, and information law.
