These positions are bring filled under the Expedited Hiring Authority (EHA) for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions in accordance with 10 USC § 1705 (g).
About the Position:
U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command's (CECOM) Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) is headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland with activities located at Fort Belvoir, Fort Hood, Fort Huachuca, and Logistics Assistance Representatives stationed in eight countries. The ILSC mission is to provide global C4ISR logistics support to the warfighter and coalition forces, in a timely, cost-effective manner. The ILSC prepares, sustains and resets the nation's Armed Forces before, during and after combat operations and deployments. This mission is accomplished through rapid acquisition, maintenance, production, fielding, new equipment training, operation and sustainment of CECOM equipment. The ILSC provides the Army with the communications and electronic systems that enable tanks, planes, helicopters, ships, satellites, and missiles to talk to each other and dominate the battlefield.
In this position, you will serve as a General Supply Specialist at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. In this developmental position you will have many opportunities to learn and gain experience through formal and on-the-job training which will acquaint you with the policies, methods and techniques peculiar to a position characterized by knowledge and skill requirement involving technical supply work. Assignments are progressively difficult and are designed to prepare the incumbent for more difficult and responsible work at the intermediate and ultimately the journeyman level.
