    About the Position:
    The Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management, (DCSRM/G8) serves as the Commanding General's (CG) principal staff officer for financial accounting, budgeting, cost analysis, and civilian and military force management matters. The G8 assist the CG by determining and obtaining financial, civilian, and military resources required to accomplish the command mission. The G8 also develops and maintains effective financial, manpower, and management control systems and procedures for safeguarding and achieving optimum use of resources. The G8 takes responsibility for program budget system, finance, accounting, and related fiscal controls, while implementing and administering the command cost and economic analysis program and selected acquisition information management system

    In this position, you will serve as an Operations Research Analyst at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. In this developmental position you will have many opportunities to learn and gain experience through formal and on-the-job training which will acquaint you with the policies, methods and techniques particular to a position characterized by knowledge and skill requirement of a Operations Research Analyst. Assignments are progressively difficult and are designed to prepare the incumbent for more difficult and responsible work at the intermediate and ultimately the journeyman level.

    As a developmental Operations Research Analyst, you will assist in performing duties such as:

    • Serve as an Operations Research Analyst on study teams participating in the planning and conduct of studies relating to the cost effective selection among alternatives to meet Army material development, acquisition, and readiness requirements or allocation of command resources.
    • Utilize a knowledge of and working proficiency in operations research/systems analysis (ORSA) concepts and practices to accomplish tasks that support cost effective decision making.
    • Organize and perform analysis of assigned study areas or implement analysis and evaluation techniques.
