You will serve as Security Guard and perform the following duties:
· Perform access control and patrol duties on a military installation
· Perform security guard duties in accordance with appropriate regulations to detect and prevent theft, damage, accident, trespass, sabotage and espionage and to enforce the security regulations of the installation
· Verify identification through use of identification cards, badges, automated records, vehicle decals, verbal questioning, and other means
· Maintain radio logs and prepare and submit daily blotter reports
· Admit persons, deny entry or arrange for escorts, as appropriate.
· Conduct vehicle searches/inspections (to include cargo areas, engine compartments and undercarriages), in accordance with standing operating procedures
· Confiscate unauthorized items in accordance with security guard regulations
· Patrol the building to investigate alarms, complaints, irregularities, and unusual or suspicious circumstances
· Patrol the premises for unusual of suspicious activity
Maintain and evaluate traffic and pedestrians during emergency and accident situations according to security guard standing operating procedures.

Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: Detection and prevention of theft, damage, and/or trespassing,
performing vehicle searches, confiscating unauthorized items, directing traffic flow, verifying identification
and controlling access to premises .
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
