The VA Interim Staffing Program is seeking BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physicians for interim placement at VHA facilities. Emergency Medicine Physician assignments are made on a temporary basis at VA Facilities throughout the country, and average assignments are 13 weeks in duration. Emergency Medicine Physicians assigned to the VA Interim Staffing Program will be expected to provide comprehensive patient care to any patient that presents to the subscribing facility's Emergency Department, assuring the most effective delivery of care in the Emergency Department Services.

VHA is exploring new ways of enhancing patient access to care. Your orientation as an ISP Emergency Medicine physician may include foundational training required for effective delivery of telemedicine. Should the opportunity present, you will be encouraged to consider engaging in-person and virtual care assignments.
DESIGNATED DRUG-TESTING POSITION: Applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing-designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA. Applicants will not be appointed to the position if a verified-positive drug test result is received.
