The incumbent will serve as a Program Analyst in the Office of Aerospace Medicine’s Medical Specialties Division, Medical Standards and Policy Branch. He/she will perform a combination of routine, varying, and progressively more complex assignments under the general direction of a manager, team lead, or higher level analyst engaged in similar work. The incumbent is responsible for design, development, implementation, conduct, evaluation, and analysis of studies related to medical certification of airmen under Part 67 the Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14CFR), medical clearance of air traffic control specialists (ATCSs) under FAA Order 3930.3 series, and pertinent rules, regulations, and Agency orders, policies or procedures. Incumbent demonstrates some independence in planning time and using assigned resources to accomplish tasks or small projects. Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
