About the Position:
We are the U.S. Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (APG). We have a large presence at APG with contracting offices around the country including: Adelphi, MD; Natick, MA; Research Triangle Park, NC; Fort Belvoir, VA; Orlando, FL; and White Sands Missile Range, NM. ACC-APG supports the warfighter worldwide through acquisition of goods and services vital to the Soldier's mission and well-being. As Army's business conduit, ACC offers the contracting expertise of the best trained people in the Army, ready to support the warfighter as mission requirements emerge and as the Army transforms and moves within the Continental US and throughout the globe while ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayers' funds.

Serves as a Budget Analyst for the Army Contracting Command with overall responsibilities for formulating and justifying a major segment of the command's budget for one or more funds (e.g., O&M, Reimbursable, revolving, investment, FMS, etc.) which includes providing financial advisory services. This work requires knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of budgeting. Develops budget/program processes, procedures and guidance for executing financial management plans and programs. Allocates funds to individual organizations/programs based on an analysis of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding. Advises program managers and management officials on the status and availability of funds. Conducts special studies, analyzes data trends, develops projections of program funding requirements, and recommends financial strategies and actions for meeting program requirements.
