    Summary

    NDU is recruiting up to two faculty members to serve at the National War College.

    NDU develops joint warfighters and other national security leaders through rigorous academics, research, and engagement to serve the common defense.

    The mission of the National War College is to educate future leaders of the Armed Forces, State Department, and other civilian agencies for high-level policy, command, and staff responsibilities. To do this, NWC conducts a senior-level course of study in national security policy and strategy for selected U.S. and foreign military officers and federal officials.

    This is a Title 10 Excepted Service Appointment. Appointment is not to exceed 3 years with the possibility for extension.

    Responsibilities

    Teach graduate-level courses in our core curriculum in National Security Strategy and supporting elective curricula.

    Participate in the development and implementation of the College's academic programs.

    Provide students with counseling, mentoring, and assessment of their academic performance.

    Serve on committees and performing other College leadership duties as assigned.

    Maintain academic currency through research and publications.

    Develop and maintain professional relationships with decision-makers and leading authorities in Washington and around the world.
