Physical Requirements: The work is mainly sedentary. Normal safety precautions of an office environment must be followed. Incumbent may sit in formal meetings and hearings for long periods of time.
Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-12 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11 level.

Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position being filled.
GS-12 Grade Level Specialized Experience - You must have HR related specialized experience required at the GS-12 grade level and must be supported by your resume. Experience must be clear and specific or you will not receive further consideration.
Applicants must have One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Experience in performing recruitment, placement, position management and compensation services associated with the hiring of federal employees and providing advisory and technical services to managers and supervisors on Human Resources Management programs and issues. Extensive experience researching and applying federal laws, regulations and agency policy and directives.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level.
