The mission of the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Programs team is to maximize the physical, emotional and social development of the Navy family. FFR enables a ready Navy force through its Fleet Readiness, Family Readiness and Housing Programs. We service all non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who work for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) and Bachelor Housing (BH) throughout the Fleet and Family Readiness Program for the Naval District Washington (NDW) Region.Learn more about this agency
Incumbent is assigned to one or more specialized recreational activities such as the following: Marina/Fishing Piers, Community Activities, ITT/Liberty Offices, Campsites/Cottages, Arts & Craft, Fitness/Athletics, Golf Course, Skeet Ranges, Youth Activities, Bowling Centers and Stables.
Performs and/or assists in the operations of the recreation activity. Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated phases of designated activity applying and understanding of rhe interest and needs of program participants.Typical assignments may include: establishing schedules of events; applying rules and regulations in supervising assigned youth participants in indoor and outdoor activities; setting up gymnasiums and playing fields for sports events; scheduling and conducting tours and field trips. Demonstrates common to the activities, and instructs in the use of related equipment. Conducts instructional classes in the recreational area.Helps scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants.
May oversee sale of retail items associated with the activities. Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
