This position is located in a Recreation Facility administered by Fleet & Family Readiness Division. Incumbent will be assigned primarily to the Liberty center to provide direct customer service to patrons using the facility. Responsibilities may include greeting customers, and refer telephone calls, provide information regarding the facility and programs. Incumbent assists with planning, coordinating, and execution of classes, and special events, family activity nights for squadron and tenant commands. Provides technical assistance/training to patrons to ensure care used when carrying out programs and activities. May be required to drive an 8 or 15 passenger van, keep trip records, participant counts, and custody of equipment. Distribute information. Responsible for collection and safeguarding of any funds that may be collected as a result of a fee or change. Light housekeeping, and other related duties as assigned.
Successful completion of National Agency (NACI) Background Check required. A valid state driver’s license and High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to obtain and maintain food handler’s certification, CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as this is a flexible schedule position and schedule will vary.
Incumbent must have one year practical work experience including direct customer service or experience with data entry, word processing, internet, e-mail, and at least one-year experience handling cash and utilizing point of sale system. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and communicate effectively and courtesy, using proper English both verbally and in writing. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions, and present a neat and clean appearance.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee’s eligibility to work in the United States. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
