As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12 your duties are below;
The primary purpose of this position is to provide automated logistics Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) support to all state activities and organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods and techniques for planning, analyzing, and identifying problems; and developing and implementing resolutions in the organization, administrative and systemic programs. Serves as the principal advisor to the Director of Logistics, Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics (DCSLOG/G4) on all STAMIS systems and Automated Logistical Programs. Supervises personnel assigned to the CSSAMO SASMO unit within the state/territory. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the assigned technicians, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate support functions and overall unit program objectives. Coordinates with other information technology sections. Reviews organization mission, functions, and manning. Identifies requirements and initiates requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Approves master leave schedule assuring adequate coverage for peak workloads and traditional holiday vacation time. Coordinates with help desk personnel on resolution methods while staying in contact with other support personnel for additional and priority escalation. Serves as the primary point of contact for Functional Administrators and the users of the serviced database(s). Administers the day-to-day database operation and maintenance of the serviced database(s). Resolves issues and problems concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of logistic STAMIS administrative and systemic work operations. Utilizes knowledge of logistics management principles, policies, and procedures to implement, establish and execute operational plans and policies for the logistics STAMIS system. Analyzes requirements, establishes programs/procedures ensuring effective coordination on CSS automation hardware systems and peripherals pertaining to the receipt, distribution, installation, and replacement of systems. Establishes, develops or plans the coordination and administering of training programs for new and established CSS automated systems. Develops and/or coordinates the development and presentation of specialized training. Conducts training as required. Performs other duties as assigned D1231
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required for this position:
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
To receive credit for Education, you must provide college transcripts to support your Educational claims.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Employment is subject to attaining and maintaining a secret clearance as required by this position. If the selectee does not possess the applicable security clearance when hired, application must be made within 30 days of the start date. Failure to make application for the required security clearance will result in termination of employment.
Failure to complete NGB prescribed courses at the PEC for new FTS personnel within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment or termination of FTS.
