About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, Protocol Office (ST-APF-W1E8AA USA INTELLIGENCE CTR/FORT HUACHUCA).

As Deputy Protocol Specialist for USAICoE, incumbent serves as an advisor to the office of the Commanding General (CG), the CG's senior staff, Deputy to the Commanding General (DCG), Deputy Commander (DCDR), Chief of Staff (CofS), Command Sergeant Major (CSM) and major tenant commands on all military and civilian protocol matters including proper ceremonial forums, honors, courtesies and etiquette. Responsible for budgeting, requesting, processing, managing and expending Secretary of the Army Representation Funds (Limitation .0012) as the primary ORF Credit Card Holder IAW the CG's intent. Assists in the facilitation and execution of all protocol requirements for VIP and high-ranking U.S. and foreign visitors to USAICoE and its tenant commands. Functions as point of contact for ceremonies hosted by the CG. Provides assistance in the planning, organization and execution of all tours and demonstrations outside the command for allied military attaches.
