The USPS OIG is seeking a highly qualified applicant to fill our Management and Program Analyst position in the Risk Analysis Research Center (RARC) located in Arlington, VA. RARC is a research group within the USPS OIG that evaluates strategic opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Postal Service. RARC's staff includes experts in economics, public policy, business research, data analysis, and other fields. The Management and Program Analyst will support core functions of RARC, including reports processing, reviewing and editing draft reports, communication with Postal Service officials, budgeting, contract management, and more.
The successful candidate must specifically demonstrate experience in analyzing, evaluating, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of internal administrative operations, processes and procedures, and/or management. Successful candidates also should have the basic budgetary and financial management skills and knowledge to support long range planning of programs and objectives.
Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.
This position is being advertised at the Journey Band level, equivalent to a GS-9 to a GS-13. The salary range for this position is $54,972 - $123,234. The salary figures include locality pay. Promotion potential to a GS-13 equivalent at management's discretion.
