The position is located in the Enforcement Operations Division (EOD), Office of Training Operations (OTO), Glynco Training Directorate (GTD), located in Glynco, GA. You will serve as a field and classroom instructor in assigned Enforcement Operations course areas of law enforcement.

Being an Enforcement Operations Instructor makes you a valuable member of the FLETC team. Physical Demands: This work requires walking, standing, bending, sitting, lying down, or crouching in positions that may be tiring or uncomfortable. There is the need to carry weapons, gear, and packages or containers such as ammunition. Travel to field locations to coordinate training activities may be involved. Work also involves considerable physical exertion while demonstrating weapons positions, techniques and tactics in a variety of law enforcement settings.
Work Environment: The normal work place is a classroom or office, and inside/outside training venues. Duties will require exposure to varying climate and environmental conditions both extreme cold and warm weather conditions for extended periods of time and/or exposure to high levels of noise and hazardous substances. Appropriate safety practices will be utilized at all times. Safety gear, such as hearing and eye protection, will be used when needed.
This is a drug testing position which requires a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon favorable results. You will also be subject to random drug testing.
You must be able to pass and maintain FLETC instructor certification.
You must maintain visual, hearing, and physical acuity in compliance with occupational requirements and will be subject to initial and annual physical examinations.
You will be subject to the successful completion of a physical skills assessment prior to selection.
If selected, you will receive a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service and may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
All employees are required to participate in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer for salary payments.
