Duties

Serves as Junior Interior Designer. Works closely with Senior Interior Designers on new construction and renovation interior design projects. Work is assigned and reviewed for conformance with overall requirements. Works independently and as part of a team to create and develop complete interior designs. Develops design plans considering such factors as function, user needs, energy use, building codes, durability, life cycle costs, effective space planning, aesthetics, and economics. Prepares complete interior design drawings in compliance with agency criteria and needs of the project including floor plans, interior elevations, section details, and finishes. Balances aesthetic features to blend with existing structures, site, and environment. Provides quantity material takeoffs for interior architectural features. Prepares interior design plans to include finishes, colors, detailed furnishings and equipment layouts, schedules encompassing power and communication requirements, quantities, and costs.

Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30 August 1993.
