APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a bargaining unit position.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED: This is an Excepted Service position that requires active membership in a compatible assignment in the Missouri Air National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Missouri Air National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Missouri Air National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be AFSC qualified within 12 months from date of appointment.

Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
IMPORTANT NOTES: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances are not authorized for this position. Required Security Clearance is Noncritical Sensitive.
Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
Serves as the focal point, local authority and expert source for information for all administrative functions of the unit. These functions include correspondence and messages; records documentation management; printing and duplication; publication and forms management reference library; special orders; receipt, storage and control of classified documents; on-the-job training programs for both technicians and unit military personnel and Personnel Concepts III (PCIII) program. The incumbent exercises judgement in selecting or adapting guidelines to difficult situations where existing guidelines do not apply directly to the problem at hand. As Work Group Administrator, provides technical support and troubleshooting for daily network operations including identifying issues and resolving problems, and documenting the problem history and solution. Installs and configures application software to run on stand-alone computers or networked systems for networked "commercial off the shelf" (COTS) software, government owned systems, and client server networked operation systems (data set file maintenance, established end-user client software). Maintains automated configuration control files and registers software to the installation. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, operation, and testing of microcomputer based systems. Performs other duties as assigned.
