This position is located in the Office of Information and Resource Management (OIRM), Division of Human Resource Management (HRM), Staffing and Classification Branch (SCB).
SCB is responsible for providing expert and authoritative human resource management services to NSF. The Branch Chief leverages a diverse set of expertise and ingenuity in order to provide leadership, technical experience and policy formulation in the areas of position management, staffing, classification, recruitment, compensation and organizational restructuring. These tasks are accomplished through the utilization and management of both federal employees and contractor resources. Furthermore, these activities take place in the context of a highly coordinated matrixed "Service Team" environment which requires working closely with other HR branches to support the strategic direction set by the organization.

This is a supervisory position. The incumbent serves as Chief, Staffing and Classification Branch (SCB) with management responsibility for programs administered by the branch including recruitment, staffing, classification, position management and compensation; provides staff support to the HR Division Director and Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) in the development and implementation of the Foundation's human capital management initiatives and policies. Specific duties include:

NSF is relocating to Alexandria, Virginia. In late summer of 2017, NSF will begin the transition from its current location in Arlington, VA to 2415 Eisenhower Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22314. The new location is adjacent to a Metro station (Eisenhower Avenue on the Yellow Line) and there is ample parking in the area. There are several amenities nearby, such as restaurants, hotels, and shops.
Relocation expenses will not be paid.
