This position is located in the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC), Facilities, Test and Manufacturing Directorate, Environmental Management Office in Cleveland, OH.
Environmental Management Office provides overall coordination and integration of Glenn Research Center’s energy and environmental efforts. The office is responsible for establishing energy and environmental metrics, in compliance with federal, state and local government regulations and mandates, and in alignment with Agency sustainability policies. The office oversees the planning and implementation of institutional initiatives to ensure synergy, environmental benefits and energy savings.
The incumbent serves as the Chief of the Environmental Management Office and Environmental Manager for Glenn Research Center.

* Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit in the following functional areas: Environmental Management, Water and Air Pollution Control, Hazardous Waste and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Compliance, and Green Procurement.
* Serves as the GRC Environmental Management System (EMS) representative responsible for implementing and maintaining the Center’s EMS
* Serves as the GRC Environmental Manager.
* Coordinates with all internal organizations to ensure compliance with the law and effective implementation of environmental policies, procedures, and processes to reduce risk to mission.
* Serves as the local source of expertise on environmental policies, procedures, requirements, and processes.
* Supports functional reviews, as necessary, to ensure that Center programs, projects, facilities, systems, and operations comply with all environmental requirements
* Serves on NASA advisory boards, panels, and working groups in accordance with their charters as coordinated and approved by local and Headquarters Senior Management.
* Reports information regarding environmental management activities to the Assistant Administrator for Strategic Infrastructure or the designee
