Basic Education Requirement - To qualify for this position, you must have:
A. completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester ours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. Or,
B. been employed in a GS-1102 position at the GS-13 grade level or higher since January 1, 2000.
Minimum Qualification Requirement - To qualify for this position, you must also have complete at least 4-years of experience in contracting or related positions. At least one full year of that experience must have been specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 federal grade level that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of specialized experience include providing verbal/written technical contracting guidance to agency personnel to facilitate procurement activities; reviewing solicitations, amendments, modifications, and proposed awards for compliance; coordinating and facilitating customer review boards, participating on integrated procurement teams, customer review teams and customer advisory boards; and reviewing procurement and acquisition directives to make recommendations regarding the appropriate interpretation and implementation.
Quality Ranking Factor For this position, it has been determined that applicants who have maintained their Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Level III or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III perform better. Applicants who have maintained their FAC-C Level III or DAWIA equivalent, or those who have acquired and maintained the course requirements for FAC-C Level III or DAWIA Level III certification are more likely to be referred to hiring agency.
