    About the Position: This recruitment will be used to fill 6 Seasonal Park Ranger position in two separate locations.

    Three positions will be filled at Lake Sonoma, California.

    Three positions will be filled at Lake Mendocino, California.

    Please note as seasonal positions selectees will not work the entire year and as such will not receive full annual salary. You will be paid for time worked by the hour.

    Minimum hourly salary for Sonoma Lake is $15.05 and maximum is $24.57.

    Minimum hourly Salary for Mendocino is $12.53 and maximum is $20.46.

    Responsibilities

    Serves as a Park Ranger assisting higher graded ranger staff with the routine day-to-day duties required to operate and maintain the recreational facility to which the employee is assigned. Routine duties include assisting visitors, answering questions, providing assistance with interpretive programs (i.e. guided tours, instructional briefings, etc.), inputting and retrieving data from agency databases, and assisting with park management programs (i.e. planting of trees and ground cover, maintenance of park signs, and the cleaning of debris and liter).

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business travel (TDY) may be requried around 10% of the time.
