    This position is located in the Pharmacy Department at the Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility, Belcourt, North Dakota. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacist for direct clinical pharmacy services for inpatient and outpatient services at the Service Unit. This position is considered as the major source of pharmaceutical clinical information and is expected to manage selected patients with chronic disease states, as well as providing pharmaceutical care for acute patients.  This position will report to the Chief Pharmacist.

    Responsibilities

    Conducts clinic authorized outpatient pharmacy clinics for examination, diagnosis and treatment of specialized patients.

    Serve as a therapeutic consultant to the medical staff.

    Provide formal and informal education and in-services to medical staff, pharmacy, nursing staff as requested.

    Work with physicians to develop protocols for medical and administrative research related to pharmacy.

    Collaborates with other health professionals to develop treatment protocols, standards of practice and policies.

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required for training and/or other work related duties.
