The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position: A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resources Office.
Develops sampling plans and procedures for validating unit/activity accountability and inventory certifications. Evaluates unit and organizational effectiveness. Develops and administers a system of reviews, management controls, evaluations, and checklists designed to ensure conformance with law and regulations. Collectively evaluates management effectiveness of property management functions and informing management of their programs. Applies statistical analysis techniques to measure progress, efficiency, and trends impacting the effectiveness of the organization to meet the organizational goals and objectives. Interprets a variety of requirements making independent judgments to determine organizational compliance with applicable regulations, procedures and practices. Advises the USPFO, DCSLOG/G4, Command Staff, unit/activity commanders, activity managers on the evaluation of basic program policies, regulatory requirements, and follow-up procedures regarding applicable completed evaluation. Recommend corrective action to re-establish and ensure unit/activity compliance, with applicable logistics and physical security regulations and directives, with a specified suspense date. Develops processes, management, administrative, and technical evaluation plans for implementation by supervisors/managers. Recommends internal reporting and status tracking procedures to ensure adequate control in terms of deadlines, progress reports, and follow-up reports. Manages the evaluation program to ensure required actions are tracked and completed.during the assessment, the examiner reviews and ensures ground safety, fire prevention and security standards are being followed. Responsible for on the spot corrective assistance and guidance to unit/activity personnel during the conduct of the evaluation/review.coordinates with other logistics sections within the USPFO and Joint Force Headquarters to resolve technical problems concerning supply and equipment authorizations and accountability. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes and principles of management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES: Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be further evaluated by the nominating supervisor based on the following competencies considered essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
-Knowledge of implemented logistics programs and their interrelationships.
-Knowledge and skill in applying statistical analysis and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature.
-Knowledge of administrative logistics and physical security regulations and operating procedures and possesses skills in applying fact-finding and investigative techniques (e.g., supply personnel and unit commander interviews, review of work procedures, command supply discipline and financial liability of loss reports, instructions, records, and files) to gather clear-cut factual evidence of compliance with logistics and physical security regulations, directives and local standing operating procedures (SOP).
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
