Position Summary:  To serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in support of the acquisition management functions within the Acquisition Center of Excellence (ACE) division. The incumbent of this position will serve as a technical expert responsible for providing advisory support to the acquisition workforce with the planning and execution of acquisition strategies and life cycle management  functions.

**This is a centrally managed position in the Logistics Career Field Program**


Duties

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Serves as the ACE management focal point for clarification, interpretation and guidance on implementation of acquisition logistics and system's management concepts.
  • Serves as a technical authority in the areas of Integrated Weapon System Management, Integrated Product Development, Integrated Logistics Support, Acquisition Program Management and Acquisition Reform.
  • Provides expert programmatic and technical advice, assisting program managers to develop innovative logistics and system management objectives and goals.
  • Maintains liaison with the ACE Community (SAF and AFLCMC) and the acquisition workforce assigned to the AFLCMC, AFSC, and AFNWC on matters of acquisition logistics support and program management activities.

  • Work may occasionally required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
