About the Position:
The Park Ranger position is located at a comprehensive lake/park project. Project purposes may include water impoundment for flow regulation and a variety of resource preservation and outdoor recreation activities and applying methods, techniques, and procedures. Advises visitors concerning safety, fire preventions, and proper and authorized use of recreational facilities. Develops and conducts interpretive talks/guided tour programs. Inspects facilities and check for compliance with rules and regulations. Conducts on-foot and motorized patrols of project land and water ways. Investigates of stream pollution due to logging, mining, manufacturing processes etc.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least six months of specialized experience in performing work similar to the following examples: serving as a park guide or tour leader; law enforcement or investigative work; archaeological or historical preservation work; forestry and/or fire management in a park, recreation, or conservation area; or work involving the development and/or implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management of park areas or similar operations; AND having at least six months of general experience in administrative, professional, technical, investigative or other responsible work that provided a familiarity with natural or cultural history; fish or wildlife habitat characteristics; techniques of resource protection and use; recreational use of public lands and facilities; enforcement of laws, rules or regulations; fire prevention techniques and fire suppression methods; or the practice of interpersonal relations skills in dealing with the general public.
