The selectee for this position serves as a Mobile Equipment Metal Mechanic in the Trades Division located at Marine Depot Maintenance Command, Barstow, CA.

Selectee is responsible for repairing and replacing damaged body components such as hoods, fenders, tailgates, doors, windows, windshields, and truck beds.


·      Repair mobile equipment metal body components such as hoods, fenders, tailgates, doors, windows, windshields and truck beds

·      Plan and layout the work from blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and method of fabricating or installing products

·      Interpret work orders to determine materials, equipment and parts required

·      Compute needed dimensions, angles, or tolerances according to blueprints or drawings in order to manufacture items to appropriate standards

·      Operate fabricating machines such as shears, forming rolls and routers to cut, bend, block or straighten materials
