Fort Gordon Aquatics has the Indoor Pool which is considered a fitness and learning pool. We also have a Outdoor Pool and Spray Park at the Courtyard has been completely renovated. The spray park has about 20 features, some above ground, some are embedded. We are here to meet your water safety and aquatic fitness needs.

Assistant the aquatics manager in the supervision of the aquatic programs and acts as head lifeguard. Assist with planning and administering a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established basic aquatic activities. Assist manager in plans and coordination of details for reoccurring and nonrecurring aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs. Assist manager in planning and establishing aquatic certification curriculum to include lifeguarding, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, water fitness instructor and other safety, fitness and recreational certification and educational programming.
Assists aquatic manager with coordination with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events. Assist with the process to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs. Assist with program objectives from the standpoint of participant response and resources. Adapts and varies the aquatic program in light of findings. Assists the aquatic manager with the APF and NAF budget for the assigned facilities and programs. Review budget execution reports with the aquatic manager to ensure desired execution rate is met. Assists in the preparation of the annual quarterly and monthly budget input including UFR updates and request for special funding.

2. Satisfactory completion of physical examination required.
3. Position requires satisfactory completion of local, state and national agency checks, due to regular and recurring contact with children.
NOTE: No person, regardless of circumstance, will be approved to provide child care services and/or approved for hire in positions designated as having regular and recurring contact with children if the background check discloses that the individual has been convicted for any of the following: a sexual offense, any criminal offense involving a child or a felony drug offense.
Demonstrated experience in planning and executing aquatic programs. This experience may have been gained managing indoor or outdoor aquatic programs and facilities.
Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level.
Current certification in Life guarding or Life guarding instructor, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent are required at the time of application.
The following certificates must be obtained within 12 months of appointment:
- Water Safety Instructor - Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
In addition, for facilities that use Automated External Defibrillator "AED's" and Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the following certificate must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty:
- AED and O2 Administration
