**Member will remain in their military position.   Member selected will sign a statement of understanding to become compatible within one (1) year.

This is a Temporary Indefinite vacancy for a three (3) year appointment. The hiring agency has the option to extend this appointment up to a maximum total of four (4) years. This position is being advertised as an indefinite appointment and the applicant selected may be released at any time. In the event a permanent employee is accepted for this indefinite position, there will be a change in their tenure from permanent to indefinite.**

AFSC: 1N0X1, 3D0X1, 3D0X2, 3P0X1

The National Guard's full-time support program requires that all military technicians are members of the National Guard and are appointed to full-time positions which correspond to their military assignments. (IAW TPR 303, 24 August 2005)

MILITARY GRADE:

MINIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E6

MAXIMUM MILITARY GRADE: E9

Grade inversion within the full time workforce in not permitted. The military grade must not exceed that of the supervisor. Members applying for this position and exceeding the maximum military grade listed on this job announcement MUST submit a statement in writing that they are willing to take an administrative reduction in grade to the advertised military grade on the job announcement for which applying. Applicants who exceed the military grade will NOT be placed into the technician position until they have been administratively reduced to the military grade on the job announcement.

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Wing Chief of Information Protection at Air National Guard installations. Administers the Information Protection (IP) Program to include protection from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to wing and command mission interests, national defense or national security.
