About the Position:
This position is located at Fort McNair in Washington, DC with the Center of Military History for the U.S. Army. The Center of Military History mission is to accurately collect, preserve, interpret, and express the Army's history and material culture in order to educate and professionally develop our Army, the military profession and the Nation more broadly.
This is a Term Appointment Not-To-Exceed 30Sept2018. Maybe Extended up to 4 years.

The incumbent of this position will:
- Evaluate a broad range of secondary sources (books, articles, etc.) and primary sources (emails, letters, briefings reports, photographs, maps, etc.) and provide written and oral assessments of their significance and value.
- Plan and carry our research projects on assigned topics using both primary and secondary sources and organize collected documents.
- Publish reviews of books that are relevant to assigned topics.
- Write coherent, well-documented narratives that explain Army history to a broad audience. Specific writing requirements may include information papers, articles and monographs.
