The incumbent serves as the Lead File Clerk for the Health Information Management Department, Medical Records section. The Lead File Clerk leads four GS-4, File Clerks. Performs duties related to handling all aspect of health and administrative information for the file room in both paper and electronic formats. Sort, scan, request, receive, index and destruct records and files on a regular basis. Conduct random audits of electronic records to assure quality and integrity of scanned images. Follow up on requested information that has not been received. Delineate workflow among employees and adjust work for absences, breaks, and periods of heavy workflow. Serves as acting supervisor in the absence of the Supervisor.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
