BLM is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join the team to serve as an Instructional Systems Specialist In the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG).

This announcement is being advertised concurrently under FA Merit-2014-0038, for current federal employees serving under a competitive service career or career-conditional appointment or reinstatement eligible. - Evaluate and assist with development of wildland fire training courses and related products in support of national interagency wildland fire management objectives, with the intent of improving position performance.
- Serve as an advisor and consultant to NWCG committees and subcommittees, line officers, fire managers, training administrators, and others pertinent stakeholders. Provide expertise on instructional design as it relates to position duties, the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform those duties, training and other position performance support, and the development and maintenance of a sustainable and integrated NWCG curriculum.
- Assist in identifying data elements necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of training development, delivery, and impact on job performance. Develop methods of collecting and analyzing this data, and of using the knowledge gained to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects the training system.
Occasional travel - Travel will consists of occasional field visits to incident bases and other field locations.
