    We are currently seeking a dynamic leader for our Operations Supervisor position.    VA BHHCS is a multi-campus health care system, with approximately 1100 employees, providing primary care, acute medicine, surgery, behavioral health, nursing home and domiciliary care from medical centers located at Fort Meade and Hot Springs, South Dakota as well as a staffed Community Based Outreach Clinic in Rapid City and numerous contracted and staffed clinics in Western South Dakota, Northern Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming.

    This position is the Supervisor of Operations Section in the Engineering Section in Facilities Management Service at the Fort Meade Campus of the VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS).  This position reports directly to the Fort Meade Engineering Program Manager.  The Fort Meade Campus is comprised of approximately 254 acres and 90 structures and associated utilities, roads, parking lots. The comprehensive and complex medical center has a state of the art Surgery Center, Emergency Room, Medical and Surgical, Intensive Care, Community Living Center, In-Patient Psych in-patient beds. The facility also houses full rehabilitation services and an active out-patient program.  This position is responsible for all Boiler Plant, Water Treatment Plant, and outside utilities to include steam distribution, water collection and distribution, sanitary and storm sewer systems. Industrial Equipment and skilled tradesman and operators required to support these functions.  The industrial equipment and repair functions inside and outside the hospital and includes the main Dietetics kitchen and laundry equipment, compactors, shredders, and dock levelers. This position is also the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for all maintenance service contracts and related inspections.

    Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours a week 80 hours a pay period may be subject to rotating tours, overtime and holidays based on the needs of service
