- Assesses, plans and provides comprehensive and therapeutic medical care.
- Interprets test results and analyzes all collected data, discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to identify all stages of serious physical, emotional or mental problems, and to prioritize health care needs.
- Formulates and implements plan of care which may involve various treatment modalities, prescribing medications, consultation with other health care providers, and referrals.
- Collaborates with other health care professionals to develop treatment protocols, standards of practice and policies.
