The Tucson VA is the principal teaching affiliate with the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.  Medical students, residents, and fellows rotate at our facility.  Therefore, the selected candidate must also qualify for an appointment with the University of Arizona.  The Tucson VA is a tertiary care facility providing a full range of clinical services including cardiac surgery and neurosurgery. It has been a flagship quality provider within the VA and was a 2012 winner of the prestigious Robert W. Carey Performance Excellence Award. 

The Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) seeks clinicians eager to practice clinical dermatology in an outpatient academic teaching environment. SAVAHCS is a tertiary referral center for VA facilities in VISN 22, and is the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. In addition to state-of-the-art clinical care programs, residents and fellows from the University of Arizona training programs, including the dermatology training program get a large part of their experience at SAVAHCS.  Mohs surgery fellows from the University of Arizona also undergo Mohs training at SAVAHCS.  Research opportunities are available including clinical outcome trials, and translational and basic science research. Clinicians actively participate in teaching of residents and students. Tele-medicine consultative care and outreach is provided to community based clinics. Clinical Contact: Raymond L.
