Basic Requirement: A degree in accounting or in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing courses. (The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.)
A qualifying combination of education and experience: 4 years of accounting experience or a combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge AND 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing courses (the 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law) or a certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor.

Specialized Experience: You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent under GS or another pay system. Specialized experience is defined as: experience in a leadership role in planning for, conducting, documenting and reporting on Federal government operations through performance audits conducted in accordance with General Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and other policies.
Candidates will be further evaluated on the level and quality of their experience and possession of the following relevant competencies in order to determine the level of your qualifications. These competencies include:
