    The position is located in the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Defense, Assistant Inspector General for Investigations, Defense Criminal Investigative Service, Internal Operations Directorate in Alexandria, VA.

    Responsibilities

    Duties:

    • Evaluates work performance
    • Makes recommendation on personnel actions
    • Coordinates the work of other internal and field offices
    • Directs the development of new policies
    • Represents DCIS at conferences and meetings
    • Responds to Congressional, Presidential or high level DoD inquires

    This is an Excepted Service position. Any appointment made under the provisions of this announcement is excepted from competitive civil service and may require the incumbent serve a trial period. An applicant receiving such an appointment does not acquire competitive civil service status.

    Occasional travel - May require up to 5% temporary travel (TDY)
