This position has promotion potential to the GS-09 grade level. If selected below the full performance level, incumbent may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. The selectee for this position serves as a Visitor Services Specialist (Accessibility Coordinator) in the National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC), Marine Corps University, Training and Education Command of Quantico, VA.
· Ensure that the gallery docent positions are
staffed on a daily, weekly, seasonal, and yearly basis.
· Coordinate the requirements for exhibit visits and
artifact tours, as well as clean macro artifacts.
· Communicate with external organizations that
represent people with disabilities, accessibility advisors, and consultants.
· Coordinate and facilitate museum visits and tour
groups to deliver a dynamic visitor experience that enhances the museums
