This position is located in DHS/USCG, Force Readiness Command, Exercise Support Division, Alameda, CA.
The incumbent will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring that exercises provide conditions under which agencies and industries can test, exercise and evaluate plans, procedures and systems to ensure adequate preparedness for each contingency being exercised.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Serving on an exercise development team that initiates, plans, coordinates, produces and executes a total package of exercises and unannounced drills.
- Participating in interagency meetings or conferences during the exercise development cycle, including providing conflict resolution.
- Participating in meetings or conferences to plan cooperative activities.
- Maintaining familiarity with the appropriate national level intergovernmental preparedness planning entities and programs.
