    Summary

    A successful candidate in this position will serves as the Depatment of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) Program Manager for Records Management responsible for overseeing the records management programs for the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) site contractors and DOE-ID. The employee provides overall organization of a high quality life-cycle Records Management service that is responsive to programmatic and user needs, operates in accordance with federal regulations, best practices and best value principles which contributes to the fulfillment of the goals and objectives of DOE-ID.

    Responsibilities

    As a Records and Inforamtion Management Specialist, you will:

    • Establish and implement a records management program that ensures appropriate recordkeeping requirements
    • Work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the life cycle management (creation, retention, maintenance, processing, use, access, release, safeguarding, and final disposition) of the organization's records
    • Create, maintain, and implement records control/management procedures
    • Provide training, advice/guidance, and assistance to all levels of management and personnel in setting up, maintaining, controlling, and disposing of files
    • Ensure DOE-ID records coordinators are adequately trained and routinely monitors their work efforts to ensure compliance with Federal regulations
    • Ensure conformance to the rules, regulations, and policies of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), DOE, and DOE-ID
    • Oversee the records management programs for the INL site contractors
    • Play an integral role in managing the ID documents portion of DOE-ID's Electronic Data Management System (EDMS)
    • Serve as Records Coordinator for Information Management Division
    • Assist other divisions within the Administrative Support organization on a wide variety of taskings and projects
