Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The overall program consists of working and continuing in a formal education program, with the possibility of permanent employment. The trainee works directly under general supervision with day-to-day training, direction and guidance provided by the supervisor, journey level employees and/or assigned coaches. The trainee will receive continuing experience in the overall operations of the division.
The trainee will be introduced to the program responsibilities and operations of each Division, and may be given crosstraining assignments at both the regional and field office level. Will perform the day to day responsibilities and/or special, longer term projects associated with operational requirements involving all aspects of the Public Buildings Service, and will assume a greater variety of more complex duties designed to further experience and knowledge of business and administrative principles and processes common to the General Services Administration. Through specified rotational assignments and designated projects of gradually broadening scope, the trainee will further his/her experience in the program responsibilities of the various Divisions within PBS, and may also be given crosstraining assignments at the Field level and/or in other Services within GSA
