Manage the Performance Improvement activities assuring compliance with requirements which meets the hospital mission of excellence to improve quality of care, coordination of care, staff and family care. This includes advising and interpreting new procedures, practices and requirements to meet agency standards.
Assure staff are adequately trained or orientated, prepared and competent to perform in disaster planning and management; organizes and coordinates with multidisciplinary team as it relates to quality of care.
Maintain records and reports on patients and organization of all pertinent clinical data needed to provide comprehensive medical care. Investigates and resolves patient care issues, EMTALA violations, sentinel events to determine degree, sources and control of problems and contributing elements.
Establish an on-going program of chart reviews, process review and assures effectiveness of each.
