    Responsibilities

    This position is located in the Civil Rights Division, Administrative Management Section, Litigation Support Group (LSG). The selectee serves as an Information Technology Specialist and as such, performs the following duties/responsibilities: Serves as an IT Specialist/Project Manager who oversees, manages and directs litigation support activities for a variety of both small and large investigations and cases. Provides expert advice, assistance, and technical support to the Divisions' various systems such as Relativity, Concordance IPRO, Case Map, X1 Social discovery, and other video/audio, social media and electronic discovery processing tools supporting litigation support. Coordinates with attorneys and others individuals to analyze case needs and assist with coordinating complete and timely Litigation Support responses in relation to ESI-related processes and discovery requests or court orders. Conducts appropriate troubleshooting; works with other IT specialists to resolve technical issues and prevent recurring problems; and assist with updating and maintaining any databases, systems, or applications related to electronic discovery, records management and other Litigation Support IT matters.   Completes appropriate affidavits or other legal documents and/or appear as a technical expert witness in depositions and administrative and civil proceedings to testify with regard to highly technical matters related to the Division's electronic discovery practices, retrieval, , and production of ESI and other records.   Conducts research, review and analysis of new and/or upgraded litigation support products, software tools, applications and services to determine cost benefit analysis to Division customers.   Assist with the development of Litigation Support SOPs and related documentation concerning the implementation of new products and services to Division customers.   Oversees, maintains and develops the Litigation Support Group Unit's SharePoint site in conjunction with the Division's IT group.   Performs other duties as assigned.
