The selectee for this position serves as an Electrician in the Facilities Maintenance Division, Installation and Logistics Division of Parris Island, SC.


· Install and repair transformers, converters, motor drive contactors, secondary generators, switches, circuit breakers, rheostats, and similar devices.

· Test electrical systems for continuity of circuits in electrical wiring of branch circuits, parallel circuits, three way lighting circuits, motor control circuits and other electrical systems for operation and safety.

· Make standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring for electrical equipment and use trade formulas to calculate common practices.

· Install transformers, power converters, pull boxes, new circuits, circuit breakers and similar equipment where required.

· Work directly with engineers, scientists, and sponsors to build or modify electrical circuits on the basis of rough notes and desired performance criteria
