    • Develops strategies, plans and official responses for dissemination of Office of Inspector General (OIG) information to the media
    • Serves as liaison between the OIG and the media, special interest groups and public
    • Serves as an authoritative spokesperson on behalf of the OIG, clearly and accurately communicating information to the media, special interest groups and the public
    • Evaluates OIG electronic information and external correspondence and performs edits to ensure accuracy, clarity, completeness, timeliness and compliance with OIG and DoD policies, FOIA and Privacy Acts
    • Develops and implements policies, procedures, responses and memoranda relating to OIG communication plans
    • Evaluates media, public issues and comments to assess the potential impact on the DoD OIG and makes recommendations on DoD OIG responses, comments, corrective actions and findings
    • Monitors assigned staff, recommends training, plans work assignments, evaluates performance, prepares appraisals and provides instruction and answers to technical and administrative matters

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Less than 10% of work time will require travel.
